Hi,
We need to send one of our employees to Abu Dhabi on a short business trip. Does anyone have any idea on how visa processing works for Abu Dhabi? Is the visa available on entry?
Please help.

Hi Sonali,
First, you have to find out who is applying for a visa for your company in Abu Dhabi. Usually, any company or individual in the UAE can apply and process Visit/Transit visas. If anyone from the UAE is ready to process a visa for your employee, you have to send his/her passport copy, a passport photo with a white background, and the visa expenses.
If you don't have any contact person in Abu Dhabi, you can check with Abu Dhabi Immigration/Airport Authority for visa application. Please check www.abudhabi.ae for any clarifications.

Hi Sonali,
As Arun said, it's true that if any company is going to sponsor your employee a visit visa (60 days/extendable up to 90 days) or Transit visa (14 days), you need to send passport copies (Front page, second page, and last page). The most important thing is to check whether your employee has ECNR (Emigration check not required) on his/her passport. This is a process if any company is sponsoring from the UAE.
If you want to apply for a visa from India, go and approach Emirates or Etihad Airlines; they will assist you in this regard.
