Dear All,

I am working with a two-wheeler dealer. I want to know the difference between Admin and HR. Please clarify by providing the job descriptions of both. What roles do Admin and HR play in a dealership?

Looking forward to your reply.

Hi Devansh,

I am not an expert; however, I would say that in layman's language, admin concerns taking care of the 'hardware' side of business whereas HR concerns taking care of the 'human' side of business. An admin guy would be concerned with taking care of things like furniture, logistics, sanitary, stationary, etc., whereas an HR guy would be involved in things like payroll, attendance, MIS reports, recruitments, appraisals, etc.

In very small organizations, you may find the roles combined; however, by and large, these are two separate departments. Sorry, that is what I understand to the best of my knowledge.
