Guidance on Attendance Register and Salary Breakdowns under Shop & Establishment Act with Legal Comp - CiteHR

Hello Everyone, Can anybody please help me regarding Attendance Register need to be maintain for Shop & Establishment Act My office is in Mumbai. Staff strength is around 10 to 16

Hi,

You maintain the 'Muster cum Wage register' under the Minimum Wages Act that is available in the market. (I don't know the exact place in Mumbai). That is sufficient compliance.

I am having that register but in that we need to mentioned salary break ups and all those kind of things which we may not enter for corporate. Is there any other provision for Corporate Co.

Hi meera In attandance register u r not suppose to mention the salary break ups. You should mention the salary and salary break up in Salary Register or Salary Sheet. Thanks Sushma

Hi,

There is no different law for the 'corporate sector'. You don't have to fill in each and every column of the register. Whatever is not applicable to you, don't mention anything. A basic breakdown such as 'Basic', D.A., and allowances can be mentioned. That way, if a P.F./E.S.I. or minimum wage inspector comes for inspection, you will be on the safer side.
