Dear Friends,

I have a doubt regarding opening a Provident Fund account. All the documents are available with us as mentioned by the Provident Fund officials, except for the account details. They require the reconciled account details of the employees, which the company does not currently possess. Despite our attempts to resolve the issue, we have been unsuccessful. What steps can be taken to address this problem? Please respond at your earliest convenience.

Thank you.

Hi,

You need to check where your company is maintaining your PF. Is it in a PF trust or with the PF commissioner's office? Your company will be associated with either of them. Both processes take 2 to 3 months to open a PF account. You need to fill out the PF nomination forms and send them to where the PF is maintained. This will enable them to allot a PF account number, which your company will be aware of.

Regards,
Vivek
