Hi All,

I need some help and guidance regarding preparing a comprehensive Induction Manual. We are an IT company, and as a process, we conduct HR-related induction on the day an employee joins and then schedule a comprehensive induction involving other department heads.

I am in a dilemma about what exactly the other department heads should discuss during the induction process. Could you please assist me with this?

Regards,
Bhavna

Hi Bhavana,

I suggest that the first part of the induction must necessarily talk about the company, its objectives, vision, its background, milestones achieved, and future growth. This will generate a lot of interest in the new recruits.

Further to this, the respective department heads can talk about their individual department functions and how their work adds value to the organizational goal.

Once both the above are choreographed well, it will go a long way in infusing confidence and garnering support from the new recruits.

Hope you have a successful induction.

Regards, Sandhya.
