Hi Archana,

Personality development starts with an understanding of oneself. You can begin with personality profiling to give the participants an understanding of various personality types. You can even include profiling individuals using tools like Thomas Profiling and MBTI.

Once the participants get to know themselves better, you can focus on suggesting improvements to their communication skills, especially listening skills. While everyone focuses on one-way communication - speaking, listening often gets neglected.

You could also use handwriting analysis to provide quick feedback on their unique characteristics, traits, strengths that they can leverage, or areas for improvement to focus on.

The extent to which you can cover these topics depends on the duration of the program you are conducting. At the conclusion, you can relate these areas to their roles in the workplace with some live case studies, etc.

Prasad.

Hi Archana,

Personality is defined as a balanced perfection of a healthy body, an illumined mind, and controlled emotions. Here are the twelve (12) steps toward personal power:

1) Radiant health of body and mind
2) Willingness to pay the price (not money)
3) An open mind
4) A pleasant but convincing voice
5) A sense of observation and imagination
6) A sense of humor
7) Desire to excel in service
8) Tact in dealing with others
9) A self-confident point of view, a poised mind
10) Absolute honesty in all matters
11) Optimistic enthusiasm
12) Personality and will to carry on

And above all, "attitude" plays a vital role.

A person is first observed through their physical appearance and how they project themselves in front of others. People are likely to judge one first by their outward appearance. They form an impression of one by what they see before they hear them speak.

Cheers,
Sandhya

You can start by giving some basic information about personality. Then, in the following slides, put some photographs of esteemed personalities like Gandhi, Hitler, some business tycoons, and then let the audience say a word that reflects their personality. This way, start the session by continuing with personality theories like MBTI, Type A, Type B theory, etc. To make the session lighter, give the audience some personality tests that you know better and judge their personality. You can also include body language, grooming techniques, and communication as they all help in shaping personality.

If conducting a personality test is difficult for you, you may seek help from some illusion images and let the audience perceive them while you depict their personality. This way, they will learn more and enjoy the session too.

I am attaching the MBTI folder (obtained through esteemed members of Cite HR) and a link that will help you make your presentation better and more distinct.

I hope these suggestions will be helpful to you.
