Hi, I am Venkat Nimmagadda, new to this site. We are representing the Medical Transcription industry (an integral part of ITES). The supply-demand gap is huge here. As experienced people are in great demand, it is difficult to headhunt. We are in Hyderabad. We are initiating with the government to start Medical Transcription as a course to augment the crisis. Furthermore, this is not a highly paid job unlike IT. Can you please guide us on how to retain an employee in this peculiar environment?

Venkat Nimmagadda, can you tell me what are the basic qualifications required for a person working in your industry? Also, what is the minimum criteria needed to become a Medical Transcriptionist?
Thank you.

In our Medical Transcription industry, though graduation in any discipline is the primary requisite, we have experimented on some people (with plus 2 academics) who are very good in written English. They are also successful. Hence, we are looking at people who are good in written English with computer basics. They are given 3 months of classroom training and three months of on-the-job training.

Hi there,
As the graduates are the main manpower of your company, you can arrange a part-time MBA program for them from any good institutes in India. You will need to negotiate with the institutes for this initiative.
Additionally, you can implement a monthly award system, such as "Employee of the Month," to recognize the best employee every month. The selected employee should be acknowledged by organizing a small seminar each month, preferably in the first week.
Dear senior members of Cite HR, can you please assist us with this matter? Your guidance is greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
