Hi guys,

The below-given is a part of an email that I received from Delhi. I have just substituted Delhi with India. It is my humble request that we all get together on this one and show that we are one and we care.

Please forward this email to all you know across your own city and elsewhere. So, put on your alarms on your cells for 9 pm on 15th January 2008. Remember, united we stand. Let's all stand up together for our country.

Visionaries - 2020

Let's love India for 15 minutes.

Let us do something interesting and practical to save the power resources of India and to stop global warming.

We request you to switch off all the lights of your house on the 15th of January 2008 from 9:00 PM to 9:15 PM.

Imagine the amount of electricity saved when numerous houses across India would switch off their lights together for 15 minutes. So, go on and put a reminder on your cell phone.

If people can die for the nation, then can't we do this much for it? Obviously, we can.

Let's unite.

I am already into this, and trying to do some project for generating electricity by wind, solar energy, and using renewable energy resources to the MAX. and preserving the fast-depleting resources which add to global warming. :P

For the time being, look around your workplace and switch off computers, lights, etc., where not needed.

Excellent contribution. We can do it. I am surprised none of this city's members viewed this message yet.

Dear members, please contribute and pass it on to all. It's just 15 minutes, and I hope we can do this.

Thanks,
Usha

Hi Vini,

I have been implementing this for the past 2 years, and I feel it's our responsibility. I request all the site members to utilize public transport to the maximum instead of using our own vehicles, which reduces global warming to an extent.

Hi Manasi,

We are also committed to preventing global warming. We have a full-fledged session on the same for our new joiners in our induction. In fact, we also show them the movie "An Inconvenient Truth" by Al Gore.

We plan to start showing them "Freedom is not Free" by Shiv Khera. It's an inspirational movie for every Indian, a must-see.

Regards,
Manasi

I wonder if anyone has seen Al Gore’s movie on Global warming. Considering the magnitude of the problem, an organized effort should back any symbolic effort.
