Sharing NATS DBT Process Challenges:

1. Plant employees have been receiving DBT for the last 3-4 months. Kindly suggest how we can adjust this from Payroll.

2. How should we deal with the DBT cases? Should we pay the full amount and recover it in the next pay cycle, or deduct it initially and have the remaining amount disbursed by the Skill Council?

3. In case the amount is later recovered, under which category will it be accounted for? The payslip will show the recovery entry of the DBT amount – will this have any legal implications?

4. Since there will be two categories of employees in the first year – OET (those not registered with NATS) and Apprentices (those registered with NATS), how will the contract papers be signed?

5. Additionally, registration can only occur when the provisional certificate/mark sheet is with the candidate. In the case of those hired without the declaration of results, and given the one-year contract under NATS, where a candidate has already begun some service, how will this be handled?

6. What communication should be made to OEs, as some OET may resist being registered as an apprentice?

7. An employee has not submitted the diploma on time as per the Date of Joining (DOJ), so it takes at least 2-3 months for diploma submission. Backdating entries and entries without diploma submissions are not applicable on the DBT portal.
