The nominee of the employee will be eligible for PF/Pension/EDLI.
Dependents Benefit (DB) under ESI
With regard to ESI: Dependents Benefit (DB) is paid at the rate of 90% of the wage in the form of a monthly payment to the dependents of a deceased insured person in cases where death occurs due to employment injury or occupational hazards.
Other Benefits
Funeral Expenses: An amount of Rs. 15,000/- is payable to the dependents or to the person who performs last rites from day one of entering insurable employment.

As mentioned by Mr. Lakshminarayanan, funeral expenses amounting to Rs. 15,000/- and EDLI benefits from PF can be claimed up to Rs. 1 Lac, depending on the number of years worked.
Ex-gratia Payment Consideration
The company management can consider some ex-gratia payment based on the number of years the worker has worked, on a humanitarian basis for the deceased's family. If the management desires, they can provide a job to one member of the deceased's family.
