Dear Mr. Krishna,

Please find below the responses to your questions:

Does riding a bike in the wrong routes affect your future job?

Response: No, generally, riding a bike in the wrong direction may not be considered moral turpitude, which is a criterion for denying employment. Moral turpitude refers to behavior that is deemed morally reprehensible, depraved, or inherently immoral. Riding a bike in the wrong direction, on its own, may not reach the level of moral turpitude.

Does riding a bike in the wrong routes affect your passport renewal?

Response: In India, riding a bike in the wrong direction typically does not directly impact passport renewal. The passport renewal process in India primarily focuses on verifying the applicant's identity, confirming their eligibility, and reviewing their travel history. Since your case appears to be a minor or petty case, it is unlikely to hinder the renewal of your passport.

Disclaimer: The above information is based on my general understanding. For precise and up-to-date information regarding passport renewal eligibility criteria, it is advisable to consult the official guidelines provided by the relevant authorities.

Hi Krishna, have you paid the fine or not? If not, please pay and settle it. Once you pay, the case will be closed.

Mandatory Traffic Fine Payment for Passport Processing

As per the amended rules introduced by the government, it has now become mandatory for every applicant to pay pending traffic fines in order to get his/her passport application approved. So, whether you are applying for a new passport or want to get the existing passport renewed, the passport authorities won’t process unless all traffic dues are cleared. If anyone has pending dues up to INR 1,200, his/her passport application will be put on hold until the fine is duly paid off to the concerned department. This rule was introduced in 2018.

Mr. Venu, you have already clarified on 70B in the following thread. Do both cases look similar?
