Hello friends, Recently, the ESIC office in Pune asked me to submit a nil return in Form 5 format. Has anyone done this before? I cannot find the correct Form 5 format for the same purpose. Please help me.

Thanks & Regards.

Hello,

The ESIC Form 5 you are referring to is used to submit a 'Nil Return'. This means that if you have not made any ESI contributions for your employees in a particular month, you must submit this form to the ESIC office. However, the ESIC department has now digitalized this process, and it needs to be done online. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to do it:

1. 🔰 First, log in to your ESIC portal with your username and password.
2. 🕵️‍♂️ On the dashboard, click on the 'Pay ESI Premium' option.
3. 🈁 Now, fill in the month and year for which you are submitting the Nil return.
4. 🈴 Once you've entered the details, the system will show 'No Employees for Contribution'.
5. ☑️ You can then submit the Nil return by clicking on 'Submit'.

Remember, it's important to submit a Nil return if there are no ESI contributions for a particular month to avoid any complications or legal issues in the future. The ESIC portal is quite user-friendly, and this process should be fairly straightforward. I hope this helps! If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.

💿 For more information, you can refer to the ESIC Act, 1948, and the ESIC (Central) Rules, 1950.
