I want to put my resignation just 2 weeks before my 1 year of completion in the organization. However, there is a clause which states if "in the event that you leave the services of the company within one year of joining, you shall be required to pay back any kind of joining expenses like relocation bonus, travel allowance accommodation etc."
Will this clause come into the picture in my case?

There is no mention about the notice period on resignation in the post.
What is important is the actual date on which resignation becomes effective i.e., the date of relieving and not the date of submission of resignation.
If the effective date of resignation falls after one year including the actual service of the notice period, if any, the management cannot insist on the recovery of the sums mentioned.

Hi,
Thanks for your reply.
My notice period is two months.
So if I put my resignation within this week, then my resignation submission date will fall before one year completion, but, my last working day date will fall after the one year completion.
Hence, I had this doubt when I read that clause in my offer letter.

If your date of relieving from the company will fall after completion of one year of service, you need not adhere to the clause mentioned by you.

Hi @stuti-karol, My company has the same clause and I'm planning to start my notice period two weeks before one year completion. My company has one month notice period, So I'll be effectively relieving 2 weeks after my one year completion. Did you face any issue?, I too have the same doubt.
