Good morning,
I have queries regarding the election holiday. Our factory is located in Karnataka, and some of our employees belong to Telangana. Recently, elections have taken place in Telangana, and employees are asking for a holiday. Should we consider granting them a holiday or not? The Karnataka act will apply to us. Please advise.

There is no mandatory provision to grant a holiday like this. Paid holiday is constituency-centric, and employees who are attached to units outside the constituency, which is going to poll, cannot claim such a facility just because of domicile/finding a place in the voters' list of the constituency.
