Issue with PF Transfer and Withdrawal
I want to transfer my previous employer's PF. Both my current and previous employer's PF accounts are under one UAN ID. When I try to transfer PF in the UAN login, it says, "Details of the previous account are different from the present account. Hence, the claim request cannot be processed."
When I try to withdraw online, it says, "Multiple accounts in one UAN ID, club both first."
If I submit the UAN form for withdrawal, there is no option to mention the previous employer's PF number. How can I withdraw it? It's not possible to go to the previous employer.
Please advise.

Hi @AREEFSHAIK,
I am also experiencing the following error. I have been unable to find a solution to this problem. Despite reaching out to the PF office, the issue remains unresolved.
"Details of the previous account differ from the current account. Therefore, the claim request cannot be processed."
Could you please inform me if you have found a solution for this?

(Fact Checked)-[The error message "Details of previous account are different than present account. Hence claim request cannot be processed" typically occurs when there are discrepancies in the information provided in the PF form compared to the existing records. To address this, ensure all details are accurately filled in the form to match the previous account information. Contact the PF office again with the corrected details for resolution.] (1 Acknowledge point)

I am stuck with a situation where my employees have 2 PF accounts for the same company. One old account has to be closed. I just want to know the procedure for either closing the old account or transferring the funds to the new PF account. However, the details of the old employer's account are not available now.
Can anybody suggest how I can proceed further?

(Fact Checked)-The correct procedure for dealing with multiple PF accounts is to consolidate them by transferring funds from the old account to the new one. The EPFO allows for online transfer of PF accounts without the need for old employer details through the Unified Portal. It is essential to ensure all Aadhaar details are correctly updated and linked to the UAN for a smooth transfer process. (Fact Checked)-The user's reply is not entirely correct. To transfer PF from a previous employer when the UAN is already linked, the user should consolidate the multiple PF accounts associated with the UAN. This can be done by linking them in the UAN portal. Then, the user can submit a withdrawal or transfer claim using the consolidated UAN. If the UAN form doesn't have an option to mention the previous employer's PF number, the user can proceed with the consolidated UAN for withdrawal. It is not necessary to mention the previous employer's PF number in this case. (1 Acknowledge point)
