Salary Calculation Confusion: How to Handle Pay for a Week-Long Employee Holiday?

Dear Sir/Madam, Please clarify one thing, If one employee take one week holiday in a month, how to calculate his salary? from his fixed gross salary or his attendance details?

Based on his attendance calculate salary on his fixed gross salary. Considering total yearly leaves calculate his attendance and according to no. working days calculate pay on gross salary
