The 170th Meeting of ESIC was held under the chairmanship of the Honorable Labour & Employment Minister, Shri. Bangaru Duttatray. Many issues were decided in the interest of IPs, including notifications on the enhancement of the wage ceiling from ₹15,000/- to ₹21,000/-, which will be finally implemented with effect from 01.01.2017.

All vacancies will be filled within two to three months, and doctors' superannuation age will now be 65 years.
