Hello everyone,
Can anyone please tell me something about the SAP module related to HR? I want to know about the institutions which provide training in the above. What is the cost and the duration of such a course? Does doing that course increase your chances of getting a good opening for a fresher? Kindly share any knowledge on this.

Hi Amit,
SAP HR basically comprises of:
1. Workforce planning and analytics:
- Strategic planning and alignment
- Workforce analytics
- Cost planning and simulation
- Organizational planning
2. Employee life-cycle management
- Recruitment and talent management
- Enterprise learning
- Performance management
- Compensation management
- Workforce deployment
3. Employee transaction management
- HR Administration
- Organizational management
- Expatriate management
- Benefits management
- Time and attendance
- Global payroll
4. Corporate services
- Corporate governance
- Travel management
- Contingent staffing
- Environment, health, and safety
- Incentive and commission management
- Information and collaboration management
5. HCM service delivery
- Manager self-services
- Employee self-services
- Interaction Centre
- Alternative delivery channels
There are many institutions that provide training in SAP at around 50k, and the durations range from 2-3 months. However, not all are worth it as they do not provide any certification. Moreover, one needs at least 1 lifecycle implementation experience in addition to at least 2-3 years of domain experience to qualify as an SAP consultant.
To my knowledge, Siemens in Chennai provides training in SAP along with certification, costing around 2.5 lakhs. I am unsure about the duration, though.
Hope this helps.
If there are other institutions providing training, I would like to know too.
Regards,
Leena

Hi Amit,
Greetings!
I read your query on the SAP-HR Training you want to undergo. However, the training institute you mentioned is not considered good. Please be cautious before investing such a large sum of money in that training institute.
If you are prepared for a significant investment, you may consider taking the training course from Siemens, the authorized training partner for the SAP Module in India.
If you are exploring training options from other private institutes, it's advisable to choose one where the investment is not as substantial, perhaps around 30,000-45,000.
I have details of some institutes in Delhi. You can also inquire about training from CDACC. The fee is approximately 60,000, but it is a worthwhile investment as it is government-recognized.
With Best Wishes,
Vijeta

Hi,
I understand the dilemma you have! For the SAP Course or any ERP Course, you need to have a functional domain experience. So, I would suggest that you join a good organization after your MBA and gain work experience for about 2-3 years. Then, you can go for the SAP/ERP training.
Best wishes,
Vijeta.

I have completed my PGDBA (HR) in 2008. I have been working in the HR domain (Consulting/Corporate) for the past 2 years. Can you suggest if SAP ERP (HR Module) training will enhance my career, and from where? I do not want an online course. I have done my graduation in Electronic Commerce.
