Dear Shweta,

There is no particular format for bond letters. Companies prepare them according to their own needs and requirements. Just follow the normal appointment clauses with the exception of the notice period clause and replace it with the clauses which state that the person will be working from such a period to such a period and in case of variation from the same, he or she will be liable to pay a certain amount to the company as compensation. Keep in mind that the basic objective of the bond letter is to bind the employee with the company for a particular period of time. Try preparing one yourself and get back. I will help you to rectify it if required.

Hi All,

I am also facing an issue where an employee from my parent company needs to be sent on deputation to the subsidiary. What would be the execution of the agreement and how will the retirement/statutory benefits be applicable to the deputee as he would be continuing his service with the next employer.

Regards,
Sushmita

Please provide me with a sample copy of the deed for my studies. Understanding the rules and conditions will help me negotiate with my company. Please help me.

Hi,

Could someone please forward me the Employee Bond format which binds the employee to stay with the company for at least 1 year? The notice period is 1 month in case the employee leaves before 1 year or without notice; in such cases, they need to pay one month's salary to the company.

Thanks,
Vivek

It is right if the employer tells the employee to sign the one-side bond. One side means that the bond mentions if the employee leaves the job or the company terminates the employee due to any reason before the 3-year tenure, then the employee has to pay 3 lakh as compensation for the 2-month training. Is it legal?
