Seeking Guidance for HR Trainee Challenges
Hi, my name is Anvesh, and I am working as an HR trainee at XYZ software company (employee strength is 72). I am the first HR person (trainee), and my problem is that the employer doesn't inform me about the recruitment process. Whenever recruitment happens, he posts directly on the Naukri site and then sends the next post to our internal mail. Only then do I see our recruitment along with the employees. I am confused as he hasn't taught me anything about HR activities or other things. The salary will be credited at the end of the month, but I have not learned or practiced any HR tasks. What should I do in this situation? Please guide me.

Nothing to worry, it happens. Ask the concerned person politely to teach you. There's nothing wrong with asking for help. You can also inquire if you can assist with some work. As you are a trainee, it will take time to pick up everything, so be patient and learn by observing others. When I was a trainee, I faced similar issues, and they started assigning me work after three months. All the best!

He knows everything about how to write job descriptions, post on Naukri, and handle end-to-end recruitment. The reason behind his success is that he is close to all the employees, shares all details of his workday with them, and is also part of the gaspipis employer. These are the reasons stated by the employer for his effectiveness.

Ask your friend Anvesh to try this out. Rather than asking or expecting the company or the boss to train him, let him politely offer to do the job posting so that the boss's time is saved—he can add that it will help with his clearance. Similarly, for other HR tasks as well.
Unless Anvesh has already made a mark for messing up some situations, any boss will usually agree.
Another way is to go through the job postings that are posted and make any suggestions to present the postings better. The downside here would be the flak he will need to take if the suggestions are not quite professional, but that's a part of the learning process.
Like other members mentioned, this is quite common for those beginning their careers. In small companies, no one has quite the time to formally train others. It all needs to be learned on the job.
The timeframe of 7 months you mentioned is not a benchmark; it all depends on the confidence level your friend generates in his boss. There's nothing of less or more time in such issues.
