According to TN Factories Rules-1950, there should be one urinal for every 50 employees up to 500, and thereafter one for every 100. Additionally, there should be one latrine for every 20 employees up to 100, and thereafter one for every 50.

Toilets should be calculated as follows:
- Employees 1 to 15: 1 Toilet
- Employees 16 to 35: 2 Toilets
- Employees 36 to 55: 3 Toilets
- Employees 56 to 80: 4 Toilets
- Employees 81 to 110: 5 Toilets
- Employees 111 to 150: 6 Toilets
- For over 150 employees: 1 additional toilet for every 40 employees
Out of the total requirement for male employees, 33% can be substituted by urinals.
