We are a product-based startup involved in software sales, and the sales team is scattered across different locations: Chennai, Kerala, Hyderabad, Bangalore, and Mumbai. Management has decided to transition to a compensation structure with less fixed salary and more performance-based incentives. We are looking for individuals who are motivated to chase higher earnings rather than those who prefer a safe zone with a fixed salary.
I'm attempting to attach the salary structure I have prepared but have been unable to do so. Please share your email ID so that I can send you the structure.
Currently, I am aiming to review the pay slips or salary structures of at least 5-6 companies in sales to ensure we are heading in the right direction.
Regards

Understanding Salary Structures in Various Industries
There is no fixed or standard salary structure in any industry, nor is there a single solution that fits all. The only way to address this is to understand the business and the nature of employment. You can then establish a structure by determining the base salary. It is important to ensure that the base salary is higher than the minimum wages (note: minimum wages are defined in terms of basic and DA only).
Furthermore, it is essential to guarantee that the fixed salary is above the subsistence level to prevent employees from leaving. Any additional compensation can be allocated as a performance bonus.
