The common activities in organizations are: Rangoli competition, Best Dressed Male and Best Dressed Female contest (traditional clothes), Diya lighting contest, tug of war, poster-making contest, greeting card-making contest, workstation decorating contest, music competition, Diwali songs Antaakshari, Dumb Charades, and potluck lunch. These activities are common and easy to coordinate. Not much preparation is required from the HR front. Do share your experiences with us in the forum after the celebrations are over.

Cheers!

Thank you for your suggestion. As I am new to this organization, I suggested these games to my seniors. They informed me that these games have already been organized previously. If you have any new or different activities that are enjoyable, kindly forward them to me.

Thank you very much.

Thrash the Dark: A Diwali Celebration Game

Diwali is the festival celebrated to mark the victory of good over evil and light over darkness. This game is called "Thrash the Dark." All you need is either candles or diyas to light.

Ask your employees, either in groups or individually, to come forward and light a candle/diya. Let the gathering know which dark quality in their life (personal/professional/social) they would like to overcome this Diwali. You will see how much fun and commitment arise from the game.

Wishing you all the best.

Warm regards,
Ebenezer

Hello Everyone,

I need some activities for Diwali as there are only 4 women employees in my organization, so I cannot conduct the rangoli competition. Please suggest some more ideas.

Regards, Sri Divya
