Revised Labour Welfare Fund Contributions for 2015

The contribution towards the Labour Welfare Fund for employees and employers has been revised by the Tamil Nadu Government for the year 2015. The relevant notification is attached; please find it below.

Revised Contributions:

- For Employee: Rs. 10/-
- For Employer (per Employee): Rs. 20/-

Thanks for this useful information. We have already recovered around 7% during December 2014 and remitted it in January 2015. I am inquiring whether this contribution needs to be increased or if the amendment applies only for the December 2015 recovery payable in January 2016.

It is applicable for the year 2015. So, you should deduct the above mentioned amount in December 2015 and to be paid in Jan 2016.

Hi Folks,

I remitted Rs. 21 (Rs. 7 + Rs. 14) for the year 2014 and paid in January. At the time of Assistant Inspector Labour inspection, they asked me to remit and pay the balance amount for the new amendment, Rs. 30 (Rs. 10 + Rs. 20), i.e., Rs. 3. Kindly suggest.

Dear Members,

Please find the Andhra Pradesh Gazette notification on the amendment to the AP Labour Welfare Fund. According to the new amendment, Employee and Employer contributions are Rs.30/- and Rs.70/- respectively (Rs.100/- PA). The effective date for the above is 23rd April 2015.
