SAP HR:

SAP handles all aspects of human resources. The main activities are personnel administration and development, training, and organization plans. Also, payroll (wages) is handled in SAP HR, and this is fully integrated into SAP finance.

Human resources is a term that is described as the combination of traditionally administrative personnel functions with performance management, employee relations, and resource planning.

The objective of SAP HR is to maximize the return on investment from the organization's human capital and minimize financial risk. It supports human resource managers to conduct these activities in an effective, legal, fair, and consistent manner.

HR Module TABLE:

All personnel administration tables start with PA and the infotype number behind it.

All personnel development/OM tables start with HRP and infotype (e.g., 1000) behind it.

All recruitment tables start with PB and the infotype number behind it.

There are also HR tables that start with HRA, HPD, HRT, etc. The easy way to get a list is to use SAP's 'Application Hierarchy,' transaction SE81 (select all HR modes in the tree that you want a list of tables for, click on the 'Information System' button, under ABAP Dictionary --> Basic Objs, double click on 'database tables,' increase your 'maximum no. of hits,' and execute).

Use transaction SE11...type in PA* in the dropdown and enter, do the same for HRP* and you will have most of the HR transparent Tables. To access them, look for RP_read_* and RP_provide* in Table TRMAC to read an infotype or use the 'select' statement to access the Transparent table.

Transaction SE16 (data browser) is also useful. As mentioned above, the PA infotype tables all begin with PA and are followed by the infotype number, e.g., PA0001 for the Org Man infotype.

PA* - PA infotype tables

PCL* - HR clusters

PB* - recruitment tables

PCERT - payroll posting runs

Hi Akash Asthana,

I wish to take SAP HR module courses, but I heard from someone that to do a SAP course, the candidate should have at least 1 to 2 years of work experience. However, I only have 3 months of experience in recruitment, and I graduated in 2010. Could you please let me know if it is possible for me to take up SAP courses now?

Thank you.

Hi,

If you want to start with SAP HR, make sure you have good domain knowledge. Just don't get into it like that. Until and unless you have domain knowledge, it is a bit difficult to understand the process. Anyways, you can learn it. It's a top-level course. All the best.

Check the blog below. They explained it well.
