Understanding Salary Breakups

In my previous company, the corporate office used to handle the salary breakup and all. Here in my new company, I have to take care of these things, so please explain about salary breakups.

- Is there any standard percentage?
- Will it differ from state to state?
- Are minimum wages and labor acts restricting it in any way?
- What are the breakups that should be there? (Is Basic and DA enough, or should HRA or further components also be included?)

Please clarify this for me.

Thank you.

Thank you for your response. I have some doubts regarding the attachment file you provided.

- Is Employee A's salary Rs. 17,000, and has ESI deduction been done for him?
- Can PF deduction exceed Rs. 15,000?
- Are these percentage breakdowns standard, or do they vary in any case?

Thanks & Regards,

As per the salary statement, the breakup percentage is similar and covered with the minimum wages of the state and central. However, in ESIC, washing allowances cannot be deducted for ESIC coverage on the gross amount.

Thank you.
