Mathadi workers act comes into effect only when you are using workers who are now t on your permanent roll. So in your case, the registration is not necessary

Dear Sir, Please guide me regarding Mathadi Labour Board rules for non-registration. We are a manufacturing unit in Maharashtra. We have been approached by the Kamgar Mathadi Labour Board for registration and have been warned of a legal show-cause notice that may lead to court action.

We do not wish to register with them as we have observed various issues faced by my friends' units after registration. We handle loading and unloading tasks with our permanent workers and already have excess manpower, making additional Mathadi laborers unnecessary. We ensure compliance with all statutory procedures.

Kindly advise me as they continue to follow up and disturb us outside our factory gate. Could you please share the exclusions for manufacturing units?

I look forward to your prompt and positive response.

Thanks & regards,
Dinesh Ahuja
