Hello all, I worked in an MNC, signing a service agreement bond of 3 lakhs for three years, and submitted original certificates. The bond is signed by me and my father (surety). After working for four months, I got an interview call from my state government. The exam commission asked me to produce original certificates for verification. I asked for my certificates from the HR person. They told me to (implicitly blackmailed) pay 3 lakhs to get the certificates and to leave the company, or else to work for three years. Since the deadline was very short, I was cornered into paying 3 lakhs. I got my certificates, experience certificate, relieving letter, and PF settlement from the company. Can I file a case against the company to get my money back? The company didn’t provide a bond photocopy while signing and breaking it. I was not given valuable training during my work tenure. I have evidence of the 3 lakhs paid.

You can lodge a complaint at the local police station for your documents. Any firm cannot keep original marksheets. On top of that, asking for money without signing any agreement is illegal. Please consult a lawyer and get in touch with the police.
