I was just going through the low-cost recruitment ideas posted... Good ones!! :) But realistically, we are using an innovative concept to reach out to the people looking for jobs. We are having drop boxes and kiosks placed at key strategic locations in and around the city and now expanding throughout Tamil Nadu.

These locations are malls, theatres, complexes, hotels, etc. We also have a biodata format kept near the box for filling up and dropping in the box. The boxes are self-explanatory, and people are applying in them, which we digitize and post on our portal - www.velai4u.com. Check out the article published in The Hindu attached: http://www.hindu.com/2006/08/11/stories/2006081103690200.htm. There are also a lot of other media publications on this.

Hi,

That's a good idea. Can you clarify the following for me:

1) Will the drop box contain the data as a hard copy, and if so, how do you convert it into a soft copy?

2) Are you charged by the mall/shopping complex/theatre management for placing the kiosk/drop box there?

I am asking these questions out of curiosity and to further understand the concept. Please clarify.

Its really a good concept. But will it serve purpose for Middle level positions like Asst Manager, Deputy managers. please do reply Thanks & regard, Himanshu
