Hi sir, good evening. I want to know the format of a CV. I am a B.Tech student pursuing a degree in biotechnology. I want to apply to different organizations for training, so please send me the correct format of a CV which includes details like personal information and educational qualifications. Thank you.

General CV Formatting Guidelines

Do's: Mention your:

- **Contact Information:** Ensure it is mentioned clearly. Try to avoid using a quirky email ID.

- **Professional Objective:** Every employer looks for a focused individual. State a clear and concise career objective relevant to the field you are applying for, using vibrant action words such as managed, coached, planned, prepared, monitored, developed, and presented to add life and energy to your CV.

- **Education:** Accurately mention your degrees, the year, and the names of universities, colleges, or professional programs.

- **Honors and Awards:** List any fellowships, scholarships, or academic recognitions to add extra interest to the CV.

- **Research Interests:** Phrase the specifics of your research interests considering your target companies.

- **Specialized Skills:** List all skills—interpersonal, leadership, organizational, academic, analytical, technical—and their applications.

- **Publications, Presentations, Work-in-Progress:** Provide appropriate references for any publications you have contributed to, co-authored, or authored. If you have any works being considered for publication, include these as well. For papers presented at academic conferences or professional associations, give the title, the name of the conference, the location, and the date.

- **Professional Associations or Memberships:** List them as a separate component of your CV. If you are not a member of any professional organization, find out which one is important to your discipline and how you can earn eligibility for membership.

- **Community Service:** If you have any substantial volunteering experience or contributions to a community, list them.

Don'ts:

- Do not try to fake qualities just to impress the interviewer, as most students do this and then end up getting caught. Be yourself and be prepared with strong rational reasons to prove the things you have written in your CV.
