Issue with Bond and Relieving Letter

Currently, I am working in an IT sector company with a bond period of 2 years. There is a bond of 2 Lakhs to be paid if the bond is broken. Now, I have received another job offer, and I am ready to pay the bond amount to the company as I have 4 months remaining in my bond period.

I am facing problems from HR and management as they are stating that they will not provide any experience and relieving letter. They are also saying that they will not support me during background verification even after the bond amount is paid, and they are not willing to offer a salary hike. They are threatening me just like a bonded laborer and are not willing to grant me a relieving letter.

Please suggest to me how to proceed as I require the relieving letter from this current organization.

As I have understood your doubts, please remain calm for the four-month period. Proceed after the four months for a resignation and state that you are willing to pay for the notice period. Once that is done, you can get a relieving letter from the company. Do not fight with the company as it can lead to future problems. Relax and win the race.

All the best.
