Employee counseling - first, listen to the problems, then analyze, and come up with your suggestions. You need to have convincing skills to persuade the employee. Understanding the employee can be achieved through observation and gathering information from third parties (supervisors, team members, etc).

We have termed the counseling program as Employee Assistance Program, wherein we have a psychologist who visits us on a regular basis and addresses the employee and their family issues. We conducted a workshop initially and explained the entire idea of having an EAP. Based on the employee or family's needs, they approach the psychologist.
