Then tell the company the truth; along with any bank statement you can provide to substantiate your claim. If the company did not provide you with pay slips, ask the HR or Finance person to do so. It is wrong to "manufacture" a pay slip; as already stated by Harsh Shukla, it will be considered "FAKE," as a genuine one must be prepared by an authorized person.
Warm regards.

Dear srk9919,
Send an RTI application to the state information commissioner or to the Public Information Officer of the Labor Department of your state requesting them to obtain the last payslip from your previous company. However, you may have to wait for 30 days or more to receive the original document. I hope this will help solve your problem.

Hi Lawrence / srk9919,
I am almost certain that the RTI Act does not include private bodies unless they are privatized public utility companies as per the Central Information Commission's decision of 30th November 2006 (Sarabjit Roy versus DERC).

Harsh

Dear Lawrence (feeba /srk9919),
First and foremost, may I thank you for taking the time and trouble to send the information guide. I really do appreciate it.
At first sight, you are right, and I was wrong. However, I noticed that the guide was published in 2005. In the case that I cited, the decision was made in 2006; does this mean that the CIC decision supersedes the guide? I would welcome the opinions of experts.

Dear Shukla,
Whatever may be the judgments, the RTI Act has not changed. Most of these judgments come out because of a lack of knowledge from the applicant's side regarding the act and poor support and guidelines. The RTI Act 2005 is very clear. Section 2(f) of the RTI Act 2005 clearly states that private bodies are under the purview of the RTI Act. Please also see the link in which the law minister himself has clarified this issue.
"There is no proposal to limit or reduce the ambit of the RTI Act concerning private entities, even as requests for including the private sector in the transparency law have been received from various quarters," Lok Sabha was informed today. "Requests have been received from various quarters and RTI activists for bringing private banks, private corporations, public-private partnership projects, media, education institutions, etc., under the purview of the RTI Act," Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievance, and Pensions, V. Narayanasamy, said in a written reply. As per section 2(f) of the Act, information relating to any private body, which can be accessed by a public authority under any other law for the time being in force, is already within the purview of the Right to Information Act, 2005, he said. "There is no proposal to limit or reduce the ambit of the RTI Act concerning private entities," the Minister said.
No proposal to limit RTI Act for private sector: Govt - PTI
Moreover, all private bodies all over the world are in one way or another controlled by the respective governments. As such, all private bodies come under the purview of the RTI Act 2005. I hope your doubts are cleared.
