Hi to all,
I want to share my problem. Right now, I am working as an HR executive but getting very low pay. As I am the first child in my family, I have lots of responsibilities. To fulfill all my responsibilities, I need to earn more money. Just now, I got a good opportunity in lecturership with a good package offered. However, I think I can do better by staying in industries only.
So, I am very confused about choosing between the two.

Hi Suman,
I read your problem. My condition is the same as yours. I want to advise you to keep in touch with higher education in HR. Without powerful knowledge, you can't do anything. So, don't stop your educational and experience progress. When your knowledge is powerful, you will achieve your dream package.
Remember one thing, "God will not give you more than you can handle." So, be positive. (I may not have much life experience, but I know that struggle is another name for life.)

Hi Suman,
You should rather focus on the priority for you right now. Switching to any educational institute is really not a bad idea as you can evaluate your things there as well. You can also give your contribution in the "placement cell" of your college. This will keep you in touch with the corporate world and the current trends. Being in HR, there is a big scope for you. Through the Lectureship, you will definitely gain knowledge. After some years, when you think to switch again, you can implement your knowledge there.
I would like to suggest the following when you join the institute:
- Be proactive in the Placement cell for campus/OJT/SIP, etc.
- Organize workshops, seminars, and other events in your college to stay in touch with the corporate world.
Think positive and join your new organization with a clear mind. Only then can you give your 100%.

I have read your concerns and dilemma. Always remember, "LIFE IS NOT A STRAIGHT LINE." "A JUDICIOUS BALANCE IS ALWAYS PREFERRED OVER AN IMPERFECT BALANCE." Assess your needs judiciously. Our parents have always done their best for us and will continue to do so for each one of us. When we needed them most, they were always on our side. Now it is our turn to pay back what they gave to us in our development and progress. This is human nature, and none of us should defy the Law of Nature. You should not spoil your future just because you have to discharge responsibilities. That has to be done if you own the responsibility. Try to balance the situation - which one will be more beneficial for both. Please tell me if your father is retired and where his last posting was. What are your responsibilities about which you are very much concerned? What are your strong points and dreams? Follow your dreams too as far as you can. If you are strong, then only you will be able to discharge your responsibilities - always remember. So this point is quite important.
