"Any employee who resigns properly by following the terms and conditions of employment deserves a proper F&F and an 'Experience Certificate with Relieving Letter' regardless of being on a contractual or a permanent job."

Please clarify what you actually require in your case, an NOC or a relieving letter?

If you are an employee of an organization and have to attend an interview soon because you are looking for a change, you don't require any NOC or permission from your present employer, nor will your interviewer ask for any kind of permission/NOC from your current employer.

Because "NOC is required in cases where the terms and conditions of employment restrict or prevent an employee from joining any competitor/company in the same industry," but if the employee works in a different industry/company and has not agreed to such terms of employment, only a relieving letter is required.

Please share your current industry/company type.

Regarding the "Relieving Letter," it is only required at the time of joining a new company/future employer. It is a form of assurance to the employer by the candidate and the past employer of the applicant that he/she is no longer an employee of the previous company and is free/allowed to join any corporation/company/industry and has gained work experience.

After qualifying for the written exam for a bank position, I received a call letter for an interview. I am a state transport PSU employee who joined in 2013 and completed probation in 2015. At the time of joining, I submitted a bond as requested by the PSU, stating that I should not apply for any job until the bond period ends. If I wish to apply, I should submit my resignation.

My current dilemma is that I would like to apply for a government job notification exam, and the notification specifies that I need to provide a No Objection Certificate (N.O.C) during certificate verification if I am already employed in a government/PSU position.

Questions Regarding N.O.C and Job Applications

1) Can I obtain an N.O.C from my current employer for applying for the job exam?

Recently, I joined as a government employee in a PSU company. Currently, I am in the probation period in this company. I applied for another government job and took the written exam for this position before joining the PSU. However, I received an interview call from the other government job after joining the PSU. I attended the interview without submitting a No Objection Certificate (NOC). Some seniors recruited in our PSU with experience have now completed 4 years of service. They want to apply for a central government job and have requested a No Objection Certificate (NOC). We have orally informed them that we cannot provide an NOC because they were specifically recruited for a particular project.

Is it possible to provide them with a written statement explaining that we are unable to issue an NOC due to their recruitment being specific to a particular project?
