Understanding Incentives for HR Executives
Your question is quite interesting. Any employee can be paid an incentive for any action or omission if management wishes to do so. Incentives can be paid for various reasons, such as:
- Sitting late hours
- Finding good workers
- Attracting employees from competitors
There is no law that restricts the payment of incentives; they can be paid for anything. Upon joining, incentives can be paid as joining bonuses. Therefore, there are no legal limitations that stop any company from paying any incentive.

Incentives may be given to any employee based on performance. The percentage for fixed incentives may be decided by management based on his/her performance against the job profile assigned.
The incentive will be taxable and will be added to the salary at the time of computing the tax liability.

Hi Uma, Incentive are only given for the employees who are into Recruitments. Incentives depends from company to company. Apart from that we generally have Fixed Pay in HR Dept.

Your doubt is not clear to me. Why do HR people get an incentive? I mean, they are also employees of the company and not on contracts, I hope. Incentive means people work with extraordinary performance. If any employee works like this, he/she will get it with the proper approval of the HOD. On what basis are you asking, I do not know.
