Hi there, I am currently working in Dubai as a Mechanical Engineer on a limited contract basis for 2 years. I have completed 1 year and am considering changing companies. Will there be any issues with a ban if I resign now? Can I join a new company if I obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from my current employer? I am feeling quite confused about this situation, so I would appreciate a prompt solution.

Thanks and Regards,
MITHIN

In a Limited contract under the Ministry of Labor, it is a bit hard to break the contract. You may be entitled to a 1-year ban, and your employer may also claim 1-3 months' salary as compensation for breaking the contract. However, you may join a Freezone, Government, or Semi-government company after canceling amicably with the employer.
