Hi Friends, I am planning to do the SAP HCM certification course from NIIT. Could anyone suggest what aspects of HCM I should go through or learn before I take up the course? Also, do suggest if it is advisable to pursue certification at this point in time.
Thanks & Regards

Before you plan to do SAP Certification, it is advisable to have an initial idea about what SAP HCM is and what components play an important role in HCM, as well as how the total SAP implementation proceeds.
When you register with any of the SAP Education partners for Certification, within a week's time, they provide you with an E-Learning user ID, which is mandatory to go through before you actually start your first day of classroom training.
That knowledge will really help you to understand the topics and flow of the content in the first week of classroom training. If you simply go and sit in the class without any prior knowledge in SAP HCM and start learning the meaning of SAP HCM on the first day of training, then you will have to undergo a lot of struggle to understand the concepts in the first week, even though they are considered as master data configuration basics.
As you are aware, the total duration of the certification program will be for 4 weeks, so you need to plan your preparation accordingly to get certified on the first attempt.
In the latest version ECC 6.0 EHP5, the pass rate is 57%, and out of 80 questions in the exam, almost half of the questions are single-answer questions. Sometimes, they also provide a screenshot of any topic (e.g., Ad-hoc query in Reporting) and may ask you for the answer.
Therefore, your exam preparation should be well-planned so that you can easily crack the puzzle. According to the latest pattern, they are giving good weightage to E-Learning, where you may get around 8-10 questions. So, don't neglect that topic.
Throughout the 4-week curriculum, the main focus is on the conceptual clarity of each topic along with some idea about the practical configuration, as they also emphasize some configuration-oriented scenarios.
