Hi All, I did online e-filing and received the ITR-V through email. I signed the ITR-V and sent it via Speed Post to CPC. I then received the acknowledgment through email. I am unsure of what to do next. Please guide me. 

Hi Mr. Saravana Once you send the hard copy by post then nothing has to be done. You will get the confirmation mail for receipt in another 2 weeks time.

Jeevarthnam, thanks for the reply. I got the confirmation email for receipt as well. Sorry for not explaining my problem clearly in my previous post.

Issue with Gender Mistake in Tax Filing

The problem is that "my gender" was mistyped as "female," and I got a tax exemption for 1,90,000 Rs, which is incorrect. I discovered this error while filling out the ITR form. Therefore, I now need to pay 1,000 Rs in tax. I understand that "if there is any tax refund, it would be directly credited to the account I provided in the ITR form," but I am unsure about the process for paying tax. Please enlighten me.

Hi Saravana You shall pay it from your bank and file revised return. In revised you can specify the payment details like BSR code & bank.

While filing the ITR you have option specifying as Original or revised. If in case of revised return then it will prompt for date of Original return filed and the acknowledgement number of original.

Ok Jeevarathnam, but what changes do I need to make in the revised return because the original return has been filed with the correct values, and it indicates that I need to pay tax? Unlike Form 16, which states Nil Tax. Please clarify for me.
