Key Responsibilities for Safety Personnel

The following are certain points to be included in KRAs:

1. Ensure proper adherence to safety gadgets by employees.
2. Routine check-up and replenishment of fire extinguishers.
3. Conduct mock fire drills periodically.
4. Constitution of a Safety Committee.
5. Convene safety committee meetings regularly and implement the decisions.
6. Conduct safety audits by internal and external auditors and clear the NOCs.
7. Provide periodic training for employees on handling fire extinguishers, fire hydrant systems, and so on.
8. Prepare accident reports.
9. Record near-accident occurrences.
10. Prepare corrective and preventive actions for occurrences in consultation with the safety committee.
11. Constitute rescue teams, salvage teams, and firefighters in the organization and train them regularly.
12. Apply for safety awards constituted by state and national authorities.
13. Coordinate certifications such as OSHAS, and so on.
14. Implement the company's environmental safety and health policy.
15. Monitor and manage the overall safety aspects in the company.
