Could someone please provide me with the TDS rate chart for the year 2012-2013? I have learned that in the upcoming financial year, there will be no TDS deduction for a salary up to 2 lakhs. However, I require more detailed information. I tried searching on Google but was unable to find it. Kindly assist me in obtaining the complete details.

Thank you.

As per the general budget announcement by Union Finance Minister Pranav Mukherjee on March 16, 2012, people will receive some relief from the burden of paying tax on their income. The tax exemption limit has been increased from Rs 180,000 to Rs 200,000. This means that individuals whose income ranges between Rs 2-5 Lakhs will pay 10%, and those earning Rs 5-10 Lakhs will pay 20% as tax. Furthermore, individuals with an income exceeding Rs 10 Lakhs will need to pay 30% of their income as income tax.
