Many people in our organization wear black dresses with shawls and come without slippers as part of the annual visit to the pilgrimage center in the south. Although we do respect their sentiments, how can we enforce safety rules such as wearing safety shoes and not wearing loose clothing like shawls during this period?

Thank you.

My Views on Workplace Attire During Pilgrimage

1. Don't allow them.
2. If they want to go on a pilgrimage, let them take leave.
3. Other religions will follow suit if you allow them.
4. The workplace is secular; no preference should be given to any one religion.

Pon
