Dear Senior, I have recently joined a showroom of Maruti Suzuki, but they haven't issued any offer letter or appointment letter. Will this create any problem during my job change?

Offer letters and appointment letters are the only proof of your current employment. It's a basic requirement to issue both letters during employment in any organization. Kindly ask your employer to provide them soon.

If they have not given the offer letter, it is also okay. However, the appointment letter, payslip, and your service certificate are more important to join another company after leaving this one. Therefore, please inquire with your seniors in this company whether that practice exists or not. If not, it is better not to join.

As per the company's point of view, it's not good, but they have a reason behind it. Nowadays, employees join a company, take the offer letter, and based on that, they search for another company. That offer letter will be the basis for them to ask for a raise. During this period of talent war, many companies will pay higher to retain employees in the present company or in a new company.
Building Trust with Your Employer
Now, what you have to do is create trust that you will stay there if you are really willing to stay. You can do this by performing your best in the first few days, but without fail, ask for the offer letter within 1-2 weeks. At the same time, work on building trust.
Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Yes, it will hamper your next joining. The offer/intent/appointment letter is the only documentary evidence of the position acquired by you.

Do you ever buy branded clothes without an invoice? Then why would you render your services without an appointment letter? Please ask HR/management to issue the appointment letter to you at the earliest. Never join a company without taking an offer letter in writing from them.

An offer letter is simply an offer of your employment. It means that the company is offering you a job to join them on a particular date. When you commence your duties, this offer letter will hold no significance, and the company will provide you with an appointment letter, which will serve as valid proof.

Hello Tupai,
It's positive that you spoke with your GM, and he has agreed to certify your work when you decide to make a change. However, that might not be sufficient.
Recommendation for Securing Employment Documents
I recommend approaching the GM and explaining that you have completed a tenure of a specific number of days/weeks with the company and that you should be provided with an appointment letter containing all the necessary details.
Emphasize that the letter is not just for job-switching purposes but is essential as proof of your employment. Stress that it's crucial for your job security.
Importance of Employment Evidence
Do you have any evidence of your employment tenure here in case the management decides to terminate your contract? An appointment letter and salary slips are fundamental documents that an employer should not withhold.
Kindly ensure you secure these documents for your records.
