Dear Seniors, I know asking such a question is not ideal because I should find the answer myself. However, as a senior, I believe you can advise me on this.
One of my hobbies is reading management books, but often I cannot remember the name of the writer/author. When someone asks me who the author of a book was, I feel totally disappointed.
Could you please advise me on this?

I appreciate your self-confession. You can fill this gap by doing simple things:
1. If you have the habit of carrying a piece of paper in your purse, start writing the book names and authors and keep it with you always, or at least until you become confident.
2. Update the book name and author name in the status field or profile status on your networking sites like Orkut, Facebook, and Cite HR. You can also add this to your email signatures.
3. Save it as an SMS draft on your mobile phone. So, when someone asks about it, simply admit with a smile and refer to these sources in front of them. They will appreciate your way of organizing.
Remember, all great inventions in this world came from a silly thought. Good day!

How do you recognize your friends by name, including their parents' and children's names? If you have an interest in a subject, you can easily remember the names of the authors as well. For instance, when you see the ID Pon1965, you immediately think of Mr. Ponraj. Similarly, when you see the ID Adayaranumon, you recall the name of Mr. Lakshminarayanan and others. By hearing the name of a book, you should remember the names of the authors. This connection happens when you start recognizing other books by the same authors. Once you can recognize your friends' names along with their titles, you can easily remember the names of the authors too.

Hi Padam, It may sound a little funny, but it works for me. As I read the book, I actually start developing a conversation with the author themselves, like, "Well said, Mr. XYZ!" or "I like that, Ms. ABC," or sometimes, "While I agree with you, Mr. PQR, however, I would like to put it this way..." or "I don't like your theory, Ms. ABC..." etc.
This way, I not only remember the points and logic I read in a book, but also recall the author without hassle while discussing the book and its contents because I've had a hypothetical discussion with the author themselves while reading. Sounds funny? Try it—you won't believe the results!
