Hi, I absconded from TCS during the probationary period, and I am currently on the bench for my one-month tenure in the company.
According to my offer letter, there is no bond. It is stated that if an employee decides to leave the company, they must serve a one-month notice period or pay one month's basic salary. However, there is no specific clause regarding the probationary period.
For the probationary period, it is mentioned that the company reserves the right to terminate the employment of an associate if their performance standards fall below expectations during this period.
Since I was not assigned to any project, I informed them via email that I could not continue my services due to personal reasons, and subsequently, I stopped going to the office.
After a month of being absent, I received a letter from the company stating that I had not attended work for the past 30 days. They requested me to report immediately; otherwise, disciplinary action would be taken as I am still in the probationary period.
My concerns are as follows:
1) What consequences am I likely to face?
2) What are their expectations from me?
3) Will there be any specific clause applicable to the probationary period?
Please assist me with this matter.

Consequences of Absconding from TCS
i) You will not be able to join the same company again.
ii) They expect a proper response so you can buy the notice period and get your relieving letter (if you feel like losing experience in TCS).
iii) You will be terminated from the service of TCS.

Actions could be taken against you, such as being blacklisted, which can be harmful to your career, especially as you are a beginner. Here is my recommendation to you: go and meet the concerned person, discuss the scenario with them. They will definitely understand your problems and help you find a solution smoothly.
Good luck!
