Though I am not a devotee of Sathya Sai Baba, I wish to share his thoughts with all of you. I always respect him for his contribution to our society.
Stages of Transformation
A human body is associated with six stages of transformation: birth, growth, change, evolution, death, and destruction. Death accepts no excuse. Tears do not move its heart. Death gives advance notice of its arrival to take you—notice in the form of grey hair, falling teeth, failing vision, folding of the skin, etc. Death may call at any moment. Every moment, everyone is nearing death. Death is not a deplorable event. It is the journey's end. — From the discourses of Sathya Sai Baba
Death involves certain developments that weaken and extinguish life. It does not affect the Atma; the Atma has no death. It cannot be destroyed. Therefore, one should not fear death. Death is but another stage of life. However long one suffers from illness or however severe the injury, death can happen only when Time signals the right moment. When the yearning for living ends, there can be no more birth. — Sathya Sai Baba, Vidya Vahini
It is a living death if one is obsessed by pride, ego, and anger. — From the discourses of Sathya Sai Baba
Swami's Thoughts on Death
Following are some quotes on the topic of Death, picked from the Divine discourses of Swami.
The baby weeps as soon as it is born because the individual being has no desire to get entangled in the objective world once again. Science describes it as the process of breathing for the first time and clearing of the air passages. But why should it weep? The process can be started by some other way, say, shaking or shivering, is it not?
This life which begins with a wail must end with a smile. When you were a little baby, all around you smiled though you kept on wailing. But when you die, those around you weep at the loss; you should smile in peace and quiet resignation.
Reduce your wants. Minimize your desires. When death deprives you of resistance, your kith and kin take off the nose stud, and in their haste, they may even cut the nose to retrieve it. If you go on heaping desire upon desire, it will be impossible to depart gladly when the call comes.
Do not attach yourself too much to the body or to the things that bring comfort to it. You earn three friends in this life: The first: the riches you accumulate, which refuse to come with you when you move out of this life. The second: the kith and kin who accompany your body only up to the burial ground or cremation ghat. The third: the merit and demerit you have earned, which accompany you to the last.
When once Brahma asked sage Naaradha what was the most amazing thing he noticed on earth, Naaradha replied, 'The most amazing thing I saw was this: The dying are weeping over the dead.' Those who are themselves nearing death every moment are weeping over those who have died, as if their weeping has an effect, either to revive the dead or prevent their own death!
Grief sends you to God. When a child dies, ask yourself the question, 'Is it for my sake that he was born?' He had his own destiny to fulfill, his own history to work out. Gauthama Buddha's father was so overcome with grief when he saw his son with a begging bowl in the street, that he told him thus: 'Every one of my ancestors was a King. What misfortune is this that a beggar was born in this line?' Buddha replied, 'Every one of my ancestors had a beggar's bowl, I know of no king in my line.'
Feel that you are born with the dawn of every day; that you nestle in the lap of death when your eyes close in sleep. For, what happens in deep sleep? The body, the senses, the mind, the intelligence—all is negated and there is no trace of awareness of the world. Know that waking from sleep is but birth and going into sleep is death.
Forgetting the primary goal of life, man wastes his time. Time is precious. Death is dangling its sword over every head. Our life span is fast diminishing, like water leaking through a broken pot or a melting block of ice. Death overtakes man even before he realizes his mission in life.
When we want to go to a cinema, or for an evening walk, we get ready by putting on our shoes. When we want to visit a nearby town, we pack our clothes in a bag. But what preparations do you make for the ultimate journey, the voyage of death?
All are beggars at the gate of God. The hero is he who does not beg or cringe or flatter or fawn. He knows that the Lord knows best.

I can agree with this... There are many questions which a human can't solve, which you said. I am not an atheist. I respect all religions and beliefs, but I have no image of God. Something, somewhere, a power will be/may be there in this sphere; therefore, I pray.

Dear Mr. Mohan,
I was just sharing my knowledge. I only love to speak the BITTER TRUTH and associated FACTS. Here, I support you; not even PROPHET MOHAMMED (PBUH) had an image of the ALMIGHTY, though PROPHET MOHAMMED (PBUH) was invited by the ALMIGHTY to receive a message that had to be implemented on a TOP PRIORITY LEVEL.
Without hope, we can't achieve anything. If there is a POSITIVE HOPE, then you will find the ALMIGHTY everywhere. But if the hope is NEGATIVE, we are almost lost in this world, and no one can reach their DESTINY. Our positive belief will help us achieve our dreams, with the grace of the ALMIGHTY only.
There is something beyond this sphere, far beyond our imagination levels.
With profound regards.

It is nice to see such a thought-provoking article. Whether Mr. Sai Baba is a god, an incarnation, or a human being, hope is not up for debate. In fact, he was a very good social worker who helped many poor patients receive proper treatment for their ailments, providing medical care through his trust that they could not have imagined. His educational trust is providing valuable service to society. His motivation inspired many individuals to become social workers.
Thank you for sharing, Mr. Karthick.

I support your views regarding Mr. Sathya Sai Baba, who is truly a good social worker. Now, there is tension prevailing about whether such facilities will be made available in the near future or not. Perhaps you understood what I meant to convey.

Yeah, being a godman has its own benefits and losses. Some people treat him as a god, are mad about his miracles, magic, and healing power, while critics say there is nothing great that he did. Getting 40K crores in donations from people, foreign trusts, and politicians, and using 20K crores to build hospitals, colleges, etc., is not a big thing because it is not their money; it is the donation money, public money given by them in the form of donations. If he were a real godman, he should not have accepted donations and traveled on a golden chariot; he should have lived a simple life. But WHATEVER IS TRUTH, ONLY GOD KNOWS. So, I guess such threads should not be encouraged on this site as a clash of opinions will be there: devotees will praise, non-devotees will criticize.

Dear Mr. Khadir & Deadsoul, I hope the thread is inspired by the teachings of Mr. Sai Baba from his discourses. Please keep in mind that our discussions should not disrespect the religious beliefs of those who follow Sai Baba. We are here to learn from positive influences and disregard negativity. It seems that this thread is veering off track from its main focus.
Let's concentrate solely on the uplifting thoughts and valuable contributions to society. We should refrain from discussing issues like the misuse of funds by Sai Baba, his daily activities, his divine nature, his followers, or his behavior. Instead, let's focus on the insightful discourses delivered by Sai Baba that can enrich our knowledge.
Thank you.

Prema Sai to Be Born in Doddamalur (Times of India)
M B Maramkal & K R Rajendra Kumar, TNN | Apr 28, 2011, 05:52 AM IST
DODDAMALUR (Mandya): Will the reincarnation be a reality or not? Whatever happens, the tiny village of Doddamalur, off the Bangalore-Mysore highway, will definitely be in the news in the coming years, with scores of stories circulating here about the reincarnation of Sathya Sai Baba as Prema Sai.
What has lent credence to the claims of the people of the Vaishnava sect temples of Aprameya (Vishnu) and Ambegalu Krishna (toddler Krishna) is based on a book 'Sri Sathya Sai -- Anandasai' authored by one Swami, an ardent devotee of Sai Baba. In it, he claims that the godman, during his visit to Doddamalur, told him that Sai Baba had three avatars in Kalyug, and of them, he is the second avatar (reincarnation) of Shirdi Sai Baba. The third will be Prema Sai, and he will be born in this village. He also claims that Baba, during his visit in the '60s, showed a small house where he will be born.
However, confusion prevails among people who are making claims of Baba's reincarnation in the village. According to Ramadas, who runs a Krishna charitable trust, Prema Sai will be born in this village after 2023, as predicted by Sathya Sai Baba. Ramadas said Baba had predicted that his personal assistant, Narayan Kasturi, who died long ago, will reincarnate himself as a woman in a village near Bhadravathi, marry a person from this village, and give birth to Prema Sai. "Today you are my assistant; in the next life, you will be my mother," Sai Baba is supposed to have said.
Doddamalur, located on the banks of the river Kanva, will be called Gunaparthy after the reincarnation, said Raghav, an aged villager, disclosing that the soil and water of the village have curative powers. The village will be called Gun (cure) parthy (place) in the years to come.
Why Did Baba Choose This Village?
Villagers who are well-versed in its history claim that Baba was captivated by the religious history and mythological importance of this village. People say a Kanva sage did tapasya (penance) here, and it was an agrahara (Brahmin settlement) in medieval history. It is said that saint Purandaradasa visited the Aprameya and Krishna temples here and presented a kirtana (discourse) on this village and temples. Baba was enamored by the historic significance of this village.

Kindly forgive me if we have spoken anything that might have hurt anyone or criticized someone's religious feelings. I do agree with you, "We are here to take the good things from wherever we get and leave the bad things."
Our knowledge is associated with the information we receive. Basically, knowledge is a fine-tuned version of information derived from raw data. It has a lot to do with beliefs, whether they are spiritual or science-oriented.
To my knowledge, a couple of months ago, I posted my thread sharing my thoughts, which I haven't compared with anyone in this world. However, this is what I learned, the so-called "SANSKAR," from my parents, my wife, my relatives, etc., and it is very much associated with our culture. Lately, I learned that it is mentioned in the Quran and practically followed and implemented by the Prophet (PBUH).
"If we do good and keep doing good, then automatically we start learning good things only."
Having control over our brain/self is the MOST DIFFICULT TASK in this world.
Regarding funds, I was just casual about it. The best example is TIRUPATI, where up to 500 crores per annum is the donation received. I have no idea to what extent this amount is utilized in building our NATION, where POVERTY IS THE LEADING FACTOR/CONCERN. "Where the money is stored and in what format is the MYSTERY."
Let's enjoy our life, share knowledge, and not spoil our relationships for someone else who is not associated with our lives. "Very difficult to ESTABLISH our IDENTITY but very EASY to LOSE/DESTROY the same in less than a millisecond."
Let's think and be POSITIVE ALL THE TIME...
GOOD LUCK.
With profound regards

I am also not a devotee of Sathya Sai Baba. The comments will not affect me, but they may hurt someone else. That's what I intended to say. As a Brahmin, our Guru is Kanchi Sankaracharya and not our GOD. My intention behind writing this is only to avoid hurting someone's feelings. Since we all belong to an educated and well-cultured community and can understand the meaning of our words, it is not fair to comment on someone who is held in high regard by a certain community. That's the reason I advise against indulging in such comments.
The Lesson from Hansa Pakshi
In Hindu Mythology, there is a bird named Hansa Pakshi. If you offer it water mixed with milk, it will drink only the milk and leave the water behind in the cup. It has the power to separate milk from water when they are mixed together. Similarly, we should only take the good things and leave the bad.
All the best, my friend.

If others are going to receive it in the wrong way, then they are going to hurt themselves. However, in none of my posts have I criticized any spiritual personality, nor have I expressed any negativity. Your post has enhanced my knowledge base as everything is proportional to our levels of perception. This is the primary reason for the clashes between communities.
Broad-Minded Nature vs. Individual Perception
Another point that came to my mind is the debate of "BROAD-MINDED NATURE VS INDIVIDUAL PERCEPTION," and I only appreciate facts that are based on truth.
