Dear Friends,

I have a Master's in HR and experience in HR. However, I would like to learn some hard skills like HR-related software skills such as SAP-HR, etc. I would greatly appreciate your help if you could suggest some relevant courses that I can take to stay updated with the latest skills and gain a competitive edge in the international job market. Thank you all in advance for your input.

Regards,
Locksley.

Dear Leader, Thank you very much for sharing information about SAP. I am also about to complete my first year in my HR career. Will learning SAP add more value to our skills?

This kind of software is mostly called ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) like Oracle, for example, E-Business Suite, and contains different models. For you, it's better to focus on R12 HRMS. Also, SAP offers HR models. You can find ERP software provided by Microsoft as well. However, which one is more in demand in the market depends on the region or era. In Gulf countries, most of them use Oracle.

One more thing to remember is that SAP typically offers higher pay salaries, but the chance to get a job may be narrower because SAP is primarily used in big or manufacturing companies. On the other hand, Oracle is used by companies of all sizes. If you decide to pursue either of them, it's better to do so with a partner institute or consultant, especially for SAP. You can visit SAP or Oracle University online to find partners in your region.

Thanks

Thank you, Kimooz. I appreciate your inputs. Please educate me here. If I were to learn SAP or Oracle from an institute that is not a partner or certified directly by SAP or Oracle, would I still be able to get a job based on my knowledge of the subject, or must I have a certificate from SAP/Siemens, etc.? I am talking about both the Indian and international scenarios. Thank you again.

Best regards,
Locksley.
