Hello friends,
I would like to introduce Sodexo passes in the salary structure for IT benefits for my staff. Can you help me with this? What is the monthly limit and for what amount of salary? Do I need to restructure the staff's salary? What's the cost to the company for it? Please friends, I need your help urgently.

The allowance can be given with the following terms:
1. The amount can be cut off the special allowance/other variable allowances of the CTC.
2. Can be paid on a monthly basis.
3. The allowance amount is subject to a maximum of Rs. 3000/- per month.
4. This amount will not be entitled to Income tax but would be subject to fringe benefit tax.
5. The cost to the company would be much less than the CTC, and the company can avail fringe benefit tax benefits.
6. The Sodexo card needs to be an open one and not a meal coupon, as meal coupons are valid only for food items purchases.

Hello Manthra,
Thank you for your guidance. The amount of Rs. 3000/- that you mentioned is needed to apply for a specific limit for a salaried person. For example, if the person's salary is Rs. 12000/-, and in case the salary is Rs. 25000/-, can we apply the same limit for passes?
I still need some more suggestions and guidance from friends.

Dear Madhura,
This time, you can fix a pass against an employee's grade. Also, look into the logic - if an employee is receiving 12000/- per month, he will not opt for passes. Additionally, note that this cannot be made mandatory; it is an optional item in the salary. You can set it at 500 to 2500 along with the grade or above executive levels.

The maximum limit for Sodexo Pass was Rs 1300/-.
I am availing Rs. 2750/- as tax-free food coupons in this financial year. Our company is one of the biggest organizations in India, and they provide food coupons as tax-free based on the I.T. guidelines.
