Please explain me abt the EPF procedure and can an employee who is under 6500 of basic be exempted from PF deduction? Pls help me out of this problem. Regards Abhilasha

The employees whose basic salary is less than ₹6500 cannot be exempted from EPF. However, if the basic salary upon joining is more than ₹6500, they have the option to choose PF deduction. The calculation is simple:
6500 (or the actual basic salary) * 12% = ₹780.
