Dear all,
I have been working as a Marketing Manager for the past 7 years, and now I have been offered a position as a Marketing Specialist. Could you please advise me on which role holds a higher position in the hierarchy?
It is worth noting that the offered package is almost 75% more than my current one.
Thanks and regards,
Irfan

Designation never makes much difference, If there is 75% increase take up the profile Also any designation, you will do only marketing, So take the offer

Dear Irfan,
In my opinion, don't worry too much about the designations. If you are being offered a handsome hike and will continue to have the same job profile or will also take up additional responsibility, then it does not matter. I am reminded of an old quote, "Don't worry whether the cat is black or white as long as it is able to catch mice."
Many companies practice confidential pay packages, and designations provide a clue about the positions and eventually the salary. In other words, the recent re-designations do not offer a clue. Examples include Head, Team Lead, Specialist, Associates, etc.
All the very best!

Dear Irfan,
If you receive more than 75% of what you are currently getting, please do not hesitate to take up the new task. Please go ahead. But before joining, make sure about the new company's financial stability even during a recession.
Wishing you all the best.

Dear,
Hi, I am working as a recruiter and I always do the same thing. The hierarchy for the marketing people is very ambiguous. There are a variety of designations such as territory manager, area manager, district manager, and so on, but all are doing the same thing. So, you can accept the offer, but be sure the company should be good.
All the very best, and God bless you for your bright future.
Thanks

First, rewind your life moments with the company where you are currently working. Think about what you own hierarchy-wise. Your opinion should depend on your financial position to decide which workplace and position is better for you. A post is different from that of 75%. According to me, you should try it, but don't leave your previous job; instead, take a long leave.
